Yee Hawwww, Madelyns 2nd bday round up! And more!

4-25-15 Big day Madelyn!! You had your first swimming class and your birthday party!!  You swam like a pro!  Kicking, paddling and splashing around, you couldn't wait to try everything your teacher asked of you and are definitely a little fishy!

Say, "Yeehawww!"  All dressed and ready for your cowgirl party!

Cousin fun!  Coloring with Lilly, and playing in your new sand box with Evan and Tyler, there was lots of fun to be had!

"Happy to you, happy to you!"  This is how you like to sing, happy birthday!  You blew your candles out like a pro and dove right into your cupcake!

4/27/15 Mama is 24 weeks pregnant, here you are demonstrating how large baby brother has gotten; he is the size of a cantaloupe!  Back to swim class you went, eager as the first class and once again you were all about getting your face and hair wet; you gave daddy a work out wanting to kick and paddle on your own!

 Flying a kite with Dada!  Madelyn you love showing off and impressing your Daddy.  You especially love when Daddy teaches you how to do something new, just like here where you got to fly a kite for the first time.  You are always impressing Daddy sweetheart, impressing and amazing him every day :)

 Babysitter in training!  Looks like you've got it down, should be ready to watch baby brother by August.  You can feed him and walk him around the neighborhood, should be fine while Daddy and I head out for a bit!

 A large covered front porch is something your Daddy and I have always said we wanted.  Here you are checking out the rain storm from our lovely porch.

5/10/15  It's because of you that I am blessed and able to celebrate the wonderful day that is, Mothers Day.  You made me a mother and taught me a lot, I may not do everything 100% right every day, but I will ALWAYS give you 110% of my love every day!

Happy 2nd birthday Madelyn!!

Happy birthday Madelyn!!!! April 5, 2015, and you're 2 today!!!  Today also happens to be Easter!  You woke up and quickly found your Easter basket.  The bunny left a trail of eggs for you that you quickly by passed, running directly to your basket!  We all got dressed up nicely and headed to Grandma and Grandpa Ellis's for Easter dinner and birthday cake, but first we had a fun egg hunt with your cousins!  You loved it, running around yelling, "I got it, I got it!"  

You loved your Mickey Mouse Club House cake!  You sang, "Happy to you, happy to you!"  Then you blew your candles out like a pro!

 Pictures from your 2 year photo shoot with Aunt Katie!  You were so excited to see Aunt Katie for your shoot, and although you were a little emotional and hard to work with (just like lots of models), she got some great shots!

Spring is coming, spring is coming!!!!!

2/24/15  This face sums up your goofy, sweet, fun-loving personality.  You talk so much now and lately are always telling us a story, singing us a song or taking care of your dolls and babies.  You're always sharing food with your babies, making sure they're fed and have their bottles; you wrap them in blankets, rocking them while whispering, "it's ok," then lay them down and make sure to let us know, "shhhhh, babies sleeping."

Madelyns talking up a storm:

"Uh oh, where'd it go?" (usually you know exactly where "it" is)

"I got you." (this usually follows one of the best hugs)

"Ok, I'll get it, one minute." (you walk away while holding up one finger)

"Bye, bye, see ya!" (see ya sometimes sounds a little more like sheeee ya, adorable)
"Whoopshh, Shorrrwy."  (This is just the cutest every)

Busy caring for one of your dolls, as usual.  

Here you are practicing good oral hygiene!  You are very literal with everything Madelyn, for example, if you're told to brush and floss, you will try!

Could you been any sweeter?  You love your cuddle time, we know you will be sweet and give your little sibling lots of  your kisses and cuddles too!  

Warm weather!!!!! Once temps hit the 30s it was time for some outdoor fun at our house!  You loved exploring your new yard, shoveling the snow, and "helping" make Olaf!!!  You love to shovel the big mounds of snow, typically we shovel snow off the driveway, but your goal is to throw the snow onto any area not covered in snow.  Guess you're used to seeing everything covered in white!  You have been riding your car and pushing your lawn mower around the court while singing and and cheering, if the neighbors didn't know we were here yet, they do now!

 "It's a boy!!!!!!!"  You're going to have a little brother Madelyn!!

Cousin fun at the zoo!  You three are a busy bunch, you and Tyler are fast, luckily we have Evan to help round you up! :)

3/27/15 20 weeks down baby boy, 20 weeks to go!  You are a busy little guy, any time I'm sitting down I feel you in there kicking away!  You must be very athletic and strong since you are in there training so hard every day!!

February 2015, "Madelyn's Big Announcement"

Madelyn, when people ask me what kind of a little girl you are and how you are at this age this is how I describe you:

You're silly; you love to just run around and around, and purposefully fall down yelling, "whoaaa," and giggling as you make other people laugh.  You like to splash in the tub and yell, "oh noooo," while water flies.  Not only do you like to be tickled, but, you also have started to tickle yourself and laugh while you do it, tickling your next saying, tickle, tickle, tickle, to make Daddy and I laugh.  You love to put your socks on your hands, which we don't understand, and last night I even caught you with mittens on your feet and socks on your hands!

You're talented; your dance skills continue to improve as you learn and develop new moves and gain rhythm.  You will dance alone but prefer a partner, so even if Mama is cooking in the kitchen or Daddy is eating at the table, you will walk over, reach out saying, "hold hands?" and invite us to the dance floor with you.  Your singing is also impressive; sometimes you will sing through a whole meal, dinner and a show!

You're compassionate and affectionate; in the middle of running around giggling and screaming you will run over to Daddy or I for a quick hug or a kiss, then back to playing!  Your teachers at day care tell me that you don't like it when your friends are upset, and when a friend is crying you try to go over and cheer them up but giving them a hug, or holding their hand trying to get them to play.  

You're smart; you like to count, (one, two three started out as, "two, two, teeee," which was ADORABLE). You can now count to 10, sing ABC's and Twinkle Twinkle. Thanks to Daddy you have the book Goodnight Moon almost memorized; you go through it pointing at everything almost like you're reading it to us!

There are so many things about you that just amaze us every day.  Don't get me wrong though, even with all these sweet wonderful qualities you can still be a stinker.  Sometimes when you don't want to do something you will shake your finger at me saying, "NO THANK YOU."  Getting dressed can be a battle too, there are times you don't want to put clothes on because you're too busy.  You love to refuse to food I make you, and instead will point at the cupboards crying for apple sauce, or a cookie,

And there he or she is!  Baby Hergott #2 is on their way!!  Due August 12th, 2015, we are so excited to welcome our new addition and we know Madelyn will be a huge help and a great big sister!  When Mama is pregnant she LOVES breakfast for dinner, luckily that's your favorite type of food Madelyn.  Lots of eggs, waffles and pancakes in our house lately, poor Daddy...

We have been BUSY BUSY BUSY since we moved into our new home!  Lots of projects, and making the house into our very own has kept us on the go, we went from, one thing at a time, to two things at a time!   Lots to do before baby #2!

You were so excited to meet Elmo at the library, as long as Mama was close by.

Adventures at the mall with your cousins Evan and Tyler!  We got to visit a new aquarium and you loved watching the fish, sharks and sting rays!   You even get to touch a star fish, you're brave!
